Manage the buying process for a given set of goods
Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets
Own commercial strategy, negotiation, supplier management and procurement functions
Place and follow-up on POs
Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution
Manage problems and schedule changes
Update ERP
Onboard suppliers and manage contracts
Negotiate Ts & Cs in addition to part/package pricing
Develop specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field
Contribute towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility
Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus
Impact quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team
Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in Sourcing/Procurement
5+ years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or operations; preferably in aerospace or a similarly complex, regulated industry
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Proficiency in negotiation
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills
Experience in aero derivatives or aviation engine supply chain or engineering
Strong understanding of aerospace quality and regulatory frameworks
Prior experience with global suppliers and complex supply chains
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and digital sourcing tools
Demonstrated track record in cost-out, VA/VE, and continuous improvement
Ability to operate with urgency, accountability, and customer focus
