Role Overview
- Responsible for Mechanical Nuclear Island Hydraulic Systems (MNIHS) engineering activities that support the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) design
- Overall ownership of mechanical design for the G11 – Boron Injection System, G20
- IC Pool Cooling and Cleanup System Systems, G22 – Shutdown Cooling System, G31 – Reactor Water Cleanup System, and G41 – Fuel Pool Cooling and Cleanup System
- Construction support of the DNNP-1 SMR currently under construction by OPG
- Procurement support of the DNNP-1 project for assigned systems
- Conduct component and product integration
- Manage product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down
- Drive validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing
- Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners teams
- Manage interface between components and execution organizations
- Responsible for driving CTQ / Risk trades within the teams designing the components
- Manage the overall product configuration and configuration control system
- Maintain a basic understanding of key business drivers
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Systems Engineering within the nuclear industry
- B.S. in engineering discipline from accredited university or college
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college
- Professional Engineering Designation in Ontario (P.eng)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information
