Responsible for Mechanical Nuclear Island Hydraulic Systems (MNIHS) engineering activities that support the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) design
Overall ownership of mechanical design for the G11 – Boron Injection System, G20
IC Pool Cooling and Cleanup System Systems, G22 – Shutdown Cooling System, G31 – Reactor Water Cleanup System, and G41 – Fuel Pool Cooling and Cleanup System
Construction support of the DNNP-1 SMR currently under construction by OPG
Procurement support of the DNNP-1 project for assigned systems
Conduct component and product integration
Manage product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down
Drive validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing
Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners teams
Manage interface between components and execution organizations
Responsible for driving CTQ / Risk trades within the teams designing the components
Manage the overall product configuration and configuration control system
Maintain a basic understanding of key business drivers
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Systems Engineering within the nuclear industry
B.S. in engineering discipline from accredited university or college
Strong oral and written communication skills
Master's degree from an accredited university or college
Professional Engineering Designation in Ontario (P.eng)
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
