The Digital Product Manager works as a member of Product Management Team to help maximize the value of the product and defines the work for multiple Scrum Development Teams.
The Product Manager collaborates with Business Partners, Product Owners, System Engineering, Data and Analytics Architects & Platform Architects to own and progressively elaborate functional and non-functional Epics, Features and Stories for the Development Teams to deliver.
The Product Manager’s primary task is to create and manage the Search and Wayfinding Product Roadmap and Backlog and to ensure everyone knows the priorities of the Product.
Responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team.
Responsible for creating, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog according to business value for the life of the project.
Communicate Product Backlog priorities to the team.
Act as the key decision-maker regarding what features the product will have.
Responsible for product vision and conveying that vision to the team.
Translate business partner priorities into functional and non-functional Epics, Features and Stories for the Development Teams to deliver.
Owns definition of acceptance criteria for product features.
Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
Responsible for making decisions on release dates and content.
Represent the customer, interfacing and engaging with the customer.
Communicates releases to stakeholder and customers.
Requirements
Experience working with Search Engine platforms such as Coveo, Lucidworks, Bloomreach, Solr.
Experience working in a product management role such as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Digital Strategy or UX.
Working within a complex, matrixed organization and across roles where leading and influencing without formal authority was necessary.
Superb communication, presentation, storytelling, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Proven ability to build relationships, network internally and influence senior / executive level leadership.
4-year college degree, MBA, or equivalent work experience.
Experience managing UX and design for customer-facing digital experiences in industries such as heavy equipment, automotive or other industries with complicated equipment configurations.
Experience working across the Caterpillar matrix and dealer network, or experience working for a company with a similar distribution model.
Experience working in an Agile environment while simultaneously managing multiple priorities.
Experience utilizing a variety of experience mapping techniques based on need (user story mapping, object mapping (OOUX), assumption mapping, etc.).
Technical acumen and understanding of Content Management Systems such as Adobe Experience Manager.
