About this role
Role Overview
Support underwriters with new business intake and policy administration
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements
Build close relationships with all internal and external customers and ensure excellent customer service
Maintain new business and policy data in our modern IT systems, including Guidewire
Perform quality assurance checks to ensure consistently high service quality
Prepare policy documents, invoices and insurance confirmations, and manage correspondence within our service levels with internal and external customers and distribution partners
Contribute to national and international projects aimed at continuously improving our service delivery through process optimization, automation, or the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI)
Requirements
Professional experience as an Underwriting Assistant in an insurance or reinsurance company and/or completed vocational training as an insurance specialist
Good knowledge of insurance products (experience in commercial insurance is desirable)
Independent, self-directed and reliable working style with a strong team orientation and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders
Positive client-facing demeanor and a proactive, solution-oriented approach combined with a “can-do” mindset
Good knowledge of modern policy administration systems for managing insurance contracts, particularly Guidewire, is an advantage
Proficient in common Microsoft Office applications
Open, honest and purpose-driven communication style and openness to a modern feedback and error culture
