Develop and execute system-level test strategies for power electronic products, including planning, preparation and execution of approval, type and acceptance tests, as well as analysis and interpretation of results to support product release decisions and Product Management
Analyze and post-process test data using AVL tools, generating reports in line with defined performance criteria and datasheets
Provide technical support to Product Management in complex projects by delivering insights from testing and validation activities
Prepare and update service-related documentation and technical information to ensure smooth operation and handling of AVL devices on-site
Support installation, commissioning and service teams through on-site participation in early or lead customer projects, as well as remote technical assistance
Act as 3rd-level support by analyzing complex technical issues, coordinating with development teams and ensuring structured problem resolution
Provide customer and application feedback to development teams to support continuous product improvement
Collaborate closely with device production (mainly Graz, Austria) and cross-functional development teams
Integrate and test different AVL systems (e.g. battery testers with automation systems such as AVL PUMA)
Set up, configure and parameterize automation systems, including communication protocols (e.g. CAN, EtherCAT, Ethernet), interfaces, measurement and data acquisition modules, as well as auxiliary equipment such as power distribution and HVAC systems
Requirements
Degree from a technical college, university of applied sciences or university of technology in electrical engineering, automation engineering or a comparable field
Basic understanding of power converters and their applications
Experience with industrial communication systems (e.g. CAN, Powerlink, Ethernet, EtherCAT)
Hands-on experience in setting up and working with measurement systems (e.g. oscilloscopes and related tools)
Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to understand and analyze complex automation systems, including power distribution, electrical installations and sensor-based measurement systems
High level of accuracy and quality awareness, especially in validation and documentation of test results
Structured and methodical way of working with strong analytical skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to act as an interface between development teams, technicians and project managers
Team-oriented mindset with confidence in technical discussions
Good command of English (B2 or higher)
Willingness to travel (~20%)
