Execute Clear to Build and Clear to Launch processes and Standard Work to transport, track, and ensure parts are delivered across the global supply chain to meet future weekly engine output goals
Identify and surface emerging international and domestic delivery issues, acting as the transportation escalation point during the week and engaging the right stakeholders to resolve delivery risks
Create and implement bespoke logistics solutions to meet expedited transportation requirements within a complex global network
Manage and oversee customs-related requirements for international shipments, ensuring compliance with global customs regulations and minimizing delays across the global supply chain
Lead cross-functional projects to ensure optimal internal processes for global supply chain fulfilment
Develop relationships across the business to gain visibility to plans requiring logistics strategy, and drive tactical and transactional refinements to meet demand
Leverage supplier metrics to develop and implement process improvements aimed at reducing shipment processing cycle time, enhancing quality, productivity, and service capability
Support improvements in global transportation finances, price inflation/deflation, premium transportation utilization, and on-time delivery performance
Enable operations teams by preparing both operational and financial performance data, utilizing global transportation digital tools
Contribute to GE Aerospace’s transportation quality program, including identifying transportation supplier process and performance gaps and managing long-term process improvements with suppliers
Develop and maintain relationships with supplier operations personnel to support defect resolution and corrective and preventive action implementation
Plan and implement changes in operating practices that reduce overall operating expenses while maintaining high levels of service to internal and external customers across the global supply chain
Collaborate with Customs and Transportation Operations to identify cost savings projects and effectively manage them to completion and realized savings
Champion compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures, and EHS standards
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of logistics experience)
A minimum 3 years of logistics experience
Strong, hands-on logistics operational experience is highly important, including both international and U.S. domestic transportation
Deep understanding of global customs requirements is highly important, including documentation, classification, and clearance processes for international shipments
Root cause analysis and corrective & preventive action (RCCA / CAPA) expertise
Advanced MS Excel skills
Strong customer-centric service approach
Proven ability to maintain schedules and meet deliverables in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment
Demonstrated experience managing in a metrics-based environment, including data compilation and analysis
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
Operational background in supply chain or transportation is an advantage
