Role Overview
- Defines and executes engineering solutions within Seal Technology team
- Develops new products and industrializes existing equipment
- Engages with the entire value stream to ensure effective cost, manufacturing, and operation
- Performs calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to support design work
- Presents to customers and multi-disciplined audiences
- Creates prototypes of new products throughout the design process
- Tracks spend, budget, and forecasted costs for personal projects
- Executes prototyping and final qualification testing in a shop/lab environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or applicable discipline
- At least 6 years of related experience (preferred)
- Focus on detailed mechanical design and qualification work
- General understanding of economic factors affecting product developments
- Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, qualification, and test processes
- Able to read, interpret and prepare technical designs and documentation
- Knowledge of API 6A/17D, preferred
- Must have presentation and coaching skills
- Must be customer oriented
- Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively in a team setting
