Assist in the design of site development projects, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, roadway access, and erosion and sediment control.
Perform engineering calculations and prepare supporting technical documentation.
Develop construction drawings and details in coordination with CAD designers.
Apply sound engineering judgment to design challenges and constructability considerations.
Support multiple site development projects from concept through construction.
Assist with preparation of project scopes, schedules, and labor hour estimates.
Participate in design coordination meetings with project teams and clients.
Provide construction phase support, including responses to RFIs and review of submittals.
Assist with preparation and submittal of permitting and approval applications.
Coordinate with local agencies, utilities, and regulatory authorities.
Address plan review comments and assist in resolving regulatory issues.
Coordinate with surveyors, planners, architects, and other engineering disciplines.
Communicate clearly and effectively with project managers and senior engineers.
Support internal quality control and adhere to company design standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
5–15 years of professional experience in civil engineering with a focus on site development
Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification required, PE licensure a plus
Working knowledge of site development design practices and permitting processes
Experience with stormwater management concepts and hydrologic/hydraulic analysis
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and standard engineering software tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability or experience to perform as a Civil Project Lead including managing other engineers and designers on smaller projects
