You are the first point of contact for users of highly complex analytical instruments in the field of chromatography (GC, GC‑MS, Headspace, LC, LC‑MS) for installation, maintenance, repair and qualification of the instruments.
Technically supported by the team, you assume personal responsibility for customer contact when users require specialist assistance.
You work closely with various experts.
Customers rely on your advice regarding software updates, instrument upgrades, qualifications and process optimizations.
With your qualified fault analyses and thorough documentation you contribute to increasingly targeted troubleshooting and continuous improvement, both internally and at the customer site.
You also keep commercial aspects of your work in view and take initiative when necessary.
You ensure timely and accurate invoicing and make balanced decisions regarding replacement or repair.
Requirements
Degree or qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, a technical discipline or related field
Ideally, initial professional experience in technical field service for software‑based analytical systems
Independent, structured and efficient way of working
Strong organizational skills, commitment and a high level of customer orientation
Very good German and English skills, written and spoken
Good knowledge of the MS Office suite
Valid driving licence (Class B) and willingness to travel within Western Germany (up to 90%)
