supporting drafting proposals and developing narratives around RFN’s key programmes for selected calls
increasing RFN’s visibility, relevance towards institutional donors (with a particular emphasis on large climate
nature
and food related philanthropies), promoting the need for RFN's programmes
stimulating invitations to submit proposals
reviewing donor requirements and needs to prepare road maps / paths of how to best present RFN’s programme
Requirements
at least five years’ experience on evaluation or work experience from working with civil society organizations at global, regional or national levels
in-depth expertise (including academic work) and the relevance of the specific technical expertise and experience of the consultant
demonstrated research and evaluation skills including qualitative data collection and analysis
experience from reviewing/evaluating activities of similar nature, including rainforest protection and indigenous peoples’ rights
good understanding of climate change mitigation and biodiversity conservation
good understanding of monitoring and evaluation, and results management as practiced in official development assistance-funded civil society organisations
good knowledge of the international philanthropic sector with special regards towards deforestation and indigenous rights focused organisations
