Work on the design of water, wastewater, and/or stormwater conveyance infrastructure (e.g., pipelines, pump stations, lift stations) and water/wastewater treatment plants.
Develop studies, drawings, and narratives for design memoranda, layout, plans and specifications, and related computations for civil engineering designs.
Perform civil engineering design analysis, drawings and specifications in compliance with sound and economical engineering principles.
Attend regular client meetings and respond to questions raised by technical engineering review comments.
Serve as a Civil Engineer for planning and coordinating civil works, infrastructure, and facilities projects from basis of design memorandum through final design, and engineering during construction.
Prepare various engineering documents such as design memoranda, contract plans, O&M Manuals, and as-built drawings.
Coordinate work with a multidisciplinary team to assure maximum efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Professional Engineer in Nevada required. Additional Professional Engineer in California preferred.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in municipal planning, design, and construction processes and requirements.
Familiarity with preparing plans and specifications for water/wastewater projects.
General understanding of all phases of project document production, client procurement procedures, and regulatory approval processes.
Understanding of local and regional jurisdictional codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions with specific emphasis on water reuse regulations.
Ability to prepare complete, concise, and organized engineering studies and designs.
Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Adobe.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and related BIM systems is preferred.
