Role Overview
- Manage assigned inventory of claim files including complex cases
- Perform three-point contact on new losses within 24 hours
- Document ongoing case facts necessary for establishing compensability
- Form partnership with medical case manager for early return to work
- Initiate referral of suspected fraud cases to SIU
- Aggressively pursue subrogation from third parties
- Review and approve vocational rehabilitation plans
- Establish and monitor monetary case reserves
- Review medical bills for appropriateness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- At least seven years related experience and/or training
- Minimum of at least five years experience managing indemnity cases
- Claims handling expertise
- SIP certificate
- Working knowledge of the Labor Code of the State of California
- Litigation management experience
