Write and maintain Transform Maps and Transform Scripts to accurately map MDM and network management data to ServiceNow CI classes
Implement CI deduplication rules using serial number as primary key — ensuring SGC sync does not create duplicate records for existing CIs
Configure SGC sync schedules and validate CI completeness after each sync cycle — logging coverage metrics to CMDB completeness report
Test SGC behaviour for device retirement scenarios — validate that CIs are marked Retired (not deleted) when devices are removed from Endpoint management system
Configure API integration — mapping reference data to ServiceNow CIs with correct parent relationships
CMDB Import & Data Quality
Build and execute manual CSV import process for application CIs — preparing import templates, running Import Sets and resolving Transform Map errors
Validate CI field completeness: business_service, sys_class_name, environment, assignment_group — flagging and remediating gaps
Implement store_id as mandatory attribute across all retail hardware CI types — validating enforcement via Transform Map rejection rules
Build the CI relationship structure (store → device parent relationships) for all SGC-discovered CIs using Dependency Views and relationship types
Develop scheduled CMDB completeness report script — querying CI fields and writing completeness scores to Performance Analytics for governance dashboard
HAMPRO Configuration
Configure HAMPRO model records for all hardware types
Set up warranty tracking, EOL date fields and automated warranty expiry alerts (90-day, 30-day pre-expiry notifications)
Configure HAMPRO financial fields — purchase cost, depreciation schedule, book value — for retail hardware asset records
Integrate HAMPRO warranty status into Event Management incident enrichment via Business Rule — auto-populating warranty details on hardware incidents at creation
Development & Documentation
Write clean, well-commented ServiceNow scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs) following platform best practices
Maintain technical documentation for all SGC configurations, Transform Maps and HAMPRO workflows in Confluence
Participate in code reviews with Technical Lead — incorporating feedback and applying standards consistently
Support Developer 2 with guidance on Transform Map patterns and SGC troubleshooting
Requirements
4–6 years of ServiceNow development experience with strong hands-on CMDB and ITOM skills
Experience configuring Service Graph Connectors or Discovery in ServiceNow ITOM
Proficient in ServiceNow Transform Maps, Import Sets, Data Sources and scheduled import jobs
Solid ServiceNow scripting: Business Rules, Script Includes, Scheduled Script Executions, Client Scripts — using Glide API
Understanding of ServiceNow CMDB CI class model, relationship types and CSDM hierarchy
Experience with Flow Designer for multi-step workflow automation
Ability to work from technical specifications and translate them into working ServiceNow configuration
Experience integrating ServiceNow with external REST APIs
