Lead test strategy and planning across releases (scope, approach, environments, entry/exit criteria) for banking/Digital Core Banking applications
Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios, test cases, and test data
Drive end-to-end testing across the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC), including system, integration, regression, UAT support, and production validation as needed
Design and review efficient, reusable test cases and test suites; ensure traceability to requirements and risk-based coverage for critical banking functions
Own defect lifecycle management (logging, triage, root-cause collaboration, retest/closure) and derive QA metrics and dashboards (e.g., defect density/leakage, test coverage, pass rate, execution productivity) to continuously improve quality.
Requirements
Overall experience of 6–12 years in software testing/QA, with at least 2+ years in a lead role
Banking domain knowledge is required; Digital Core Banking knowledge is strongly preferred (products/processes such as CASA, loans, payments, customer onboarding, interest/charges, EOD/EOM, reconciliations)
Very strong proficiency in testing methodology and the end-to-end SDLC/STLC: test planning, design, execution, defect management, reporting, and test closure
Ability to create efficient test cases using strong requirement analysis techniques; experience with test design methods (boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, decision tables, state transitions) is preferred
Preferred: Proficiency in test automation (frameworks and tools) and exposure to AI tools used in QA (e.g., AI-assisted test case generation, defect analytics, test optimization)
Hands-on experience deriving and communicating QA metrics (coverage, execution progress, defect trends, defect leakage, severity distribution, re-open rate) and using them to drive quality improvements
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities, mentor team members, and collaborate across business and IT stakeholders.
