Experience supporting technology programs for the government, including land, maritime, and air domain systems, with formal application of systems engineering life ‑ cycle processes
Extensive hands ‑ on knowledge of detection and surveillance capabilities
Subject matter expertise in Unmanned Aircraft Systems, to include small UAS operations
Knowledge of Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems capabilities and CONOPS
Direct experience supporting operational units with requirements development, system evaluations, test and evaluation events, and operational assessments
Proven ability to analyze threat vectors and terrain to recommend optimized sensor layouts
Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to systems engineering artifacts
Familiarity with acquisition and governance processes
Experience integrating surveillance feeds into common operational pictures and command and control platforms
Strong understanding of RF spectrum, line ‑ of ‑ sight, and environmental constraints affecting radar and UAS performance
Demonstrated ability to translate operator needs into technical specifications
Experience developing and delivering training, TTPs, and operator guides for operators on use, limitations, and maintenance considerations of deployed systems.
Requirements
Active CBP BI or TOP SECRET U.S. Citizenship
15+ years' experience in engineering
Bachelor’s Degree in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field
Master’s Degree preferred
Supportive certifications a plus; experience with systems engineering tools (e.g., modeling)
Experience with various border security technologies
Understanding of the geographical and environmental conditions and challenges related to deployment areas and techniques for adapting to these conditions
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing border technology use and adherence to safety protocols
Willingness to travel
