Support and manage rail and transit projects, including commuter rail, LRT, subway, and BRT systems, as well as related infrastructure such as stations and maintenance facilities
Act as a key liaison with clients, contractors, and stakeholders (e.g., Metrolinx, TTC, CN), ensuring effective communication and relationship management
Assist in pursuits and delivery of selected projects, including proposals, project work plans, cost estimates and schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals
Coordinate and review technical deliverables, ensuring quality and compliance with applicable standards
Contribute to risk management planning and mitigation strategies
Support commercial aspects of projects, including procurement, invoicing, and budget tracking
Promote and uphold health and safety standards across all project activities
Prepare and deliver project updates and reports to internal teams and external stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Rail Engineering, or a related technical field
5–10 years of progressive experience in project management within the transportation sector, ideally with exposure to rail and transit systems
Eligible for or registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario
PMP certification is an asset
Familiarity with alternative delivery models (e.g., P3, Progressive Design-Build, Alliance) is preferred
Working knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., AREMA, Transport Canada, Ontario Construction Act)
Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6
