With input from multidiscipline teammates, plan, design, develop, and evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical components and sub-systems.
Create detailed technical specifications, system diagrams, wiring diagrams, CAD designs, BOMs, etc. for large aperture antenna systems
Develop and present design reviews to customers, ensuring clear communication of technical concepts
Represent program leadership by leading customer presentations, demonstrating project progress and system capabilities
Review test procedures for factory and site acceptance testing to ensure system quality and performance
Prepare and review Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to meet program documentation requirements
Coordinate with technical support personnel regarding the mechanical portions of prototype testing
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering or similar field from an ABET accredited university
7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field
Proven subject matter experience in creating and managing end-to-end mechanical system design; system diagrams, wiring diagrams, power budgets, mechanical designs, and managing BOMs
Experience with factory and site testing verification procedures
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
Familiarity with CAD software
Master's degree in a relevant engineering field (Desired)
5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering for large aperture antenna systems or related defense projects (Desired)
Demonstrated ability in creating and presenting design reviews to government customers (Desired)
Hands-on experience with global deployment of large-scale antenna systems (Desired)
Familiarity with Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and government contracting processes (Desired)
Familiarity with relevant applications: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Systems Tool Kit (STK), Solidworks, Python/MATLAB
