Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client.
These teammates will bring a vast range of experiences across financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial policy.
Our Guidehouse team will provide:
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures and DoD organizational structures.
Financial audit statements and audit readiness services.
Understanding of current trends in enhancing compliance with accounting and auditing standards within an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP).
Understanding of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal financial management systems.
Financial Systems Enterprise Architecture support including: Project management support for initiatives including Intergovernmental Transactions (IGT) and Funds Balance with Treasury (FBWT) including Treasury Disbursing Office (TDO) and Non-TDO.
Daily efforts to ensure cash accountability and traceability.
Business Process Reengineering, Optimization, and Sustainment.
Strategic planning and communication support.
Requirements
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
Bachelor’s degree.
TEN (10) or more years of financial management experience or other relevant experience.
Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Management/Administration (nice to have).
Experience providing financial management support to the government, including activities such as audit or audit readiness, audit remediation and process improvement internal controls over financial reporting.
Ability to understand and execute on DoD financial management policies and procedures.
Ability to synthesize information quickly and learn new skills, view problems and apply a variety of solutions, and lead client-facing problems and meetings.
Possess one or more of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Program Management Professional (PMP), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM).
