About this role
Role Overview
Support the Learning and Teaching Technologist in ensuring high-quality digital resources and technical support.
Manage the online library and create curated digital learning resources.
Assist academic staff in resource development and ensure accessibility of Canvas Courses.
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of student success tutors.
Audit blended learning materials to meet quality standards.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for academic staff using the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
Develop user guides and tutorials for digital resource navigation.
Deliver training on digital resource creation and educational technologies.
Gather user feedback on digital resources for improvements.
Stay current with developments in educational technology to inform best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in education, educational technology, information management, or related field.
Experience in digital resource management, preferably in a higher education setting.
Demonstrated experience with learning management systems, particularly Canvas.
Experience in creating digital learning resources and supporting materials.
Familiarity with blended learning approaches and educational technology tools.
Experience in providing technical support and training to staff with varying levels of digital literacy.
Strong digital literacy and proficiency with a range of educational technologies and resource management systems.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to users with varying levels of technical ability.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
Detail-oriented approach to maintaining resource accuracy and accessibility.
Collaborative working style with the ability to build effective relationships with academic staff.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to understanding diverse student and staff needs and providing inclusive support.
