About this role
Role Overview
- Monitor and review database performance parameters;
- Work on concurrent projects, proposing database solutions;
- Implement and review performance optimizations and execution plans;
- Recommend improvements to environment management and to mission-critical, high-availability systems;
- Collaborate on database configuration and instrumentation;
- Perform troubleshooting on Oracle databases;
- Administer relational databases;
- Optimize query performance;
- Analyze database performance metrics;
- Generate performance analysis reports;
- Actively participate in project meetings.
Requirements
- Experience in Oracle database performance analysis;
- Experience analyzing performance using AWR and ASH;
- Experience in wait event analysis;
- Experience analyzing query execution plans;
- Experience analyzing operating system performance metrics;
- Experience in Oracle database optimization;
- Experience with backup strategies;
- Experience with SQL and PL/SQL;
- Experience with Shell scripting and developing infrastructure scripts;
- Knowledge of Oracle Exadata;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- OCA/OCP certification;
- Experience with Oracle Exadata;
- Experience with DB2.
