The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with Fondasyon Kuehner accounting, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and administrative tasks as assigned.
Use sophisticated software and Excel to balance Fondasyon Kuehner’s accounts on a weekly basis.
Track petty cash expenses, learn and assign internal accounting codes to programmatic expenditures, support in executing the payment of bills.
Assist Hope for Haiti leadership in formulating solid financial and administrative procedures, and carry out periodic internal audits.
Work closely with the Accountant and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited university in administrative sciences, or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience in accounting and administration.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Superior organizational skills and a strong ability to prioritize and assist supervisor in prioritizing
Written and spoken fluency in English, French and Creole.
Creative problem solving skills and self-starting abilities.
Ability to use computers, including Gmail Suite (email, google documents, google calendar), Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
