Deliver engaging classroom, virtual, and hands-on technical training for electricians, technicians, engineers, and apprentices
Facilitate training programs covering high-voltage systems, switchgear testing and maintenance, protection systems, substations, and renewable energy systems
Develop and continuously improve training curriculum, lesson plans, presentations, and practical lab exercises
Ensure training programs align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
Promote electrical safety training aligned with NFPA 70E, CSA Z462, and industry Arc Flash and Lockout/Tagout standards
Evaluate learner performance through assessments, practical demonstrations, and feedback
Mentor learners and support knowledge transfer using adult learning principles and coaching techniques
Provide technical insight from field experience to ensure training reflects real-world electrical work environments
Support the development and implementation of e-learning modules and blended learning programs
Collaborate with internal engineering, field service, and operations teams to ensure training content reflects current industry practices
Assist in maintaining and improving training facilities, equipment, and safety procedures
Maintain training records, course documentation, and learner progress within the Learning Management System (LMS)
Travel to customer locations, field sites, and training facilities to deliver programs and support learners
Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with emerging technologies and electrical standards
Requirements
7–10+ years of industry experience in industrial electrical systems, power systems testing, substations, or related high-voltage environments
Background as an Industrial Electrician, Electrical Technologist, High-Voltage Technician, or Electrical Engineer
3–5 years of training, mentoring, supervisory, or instructional experience
Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: High-voltage testing and maintenance
Switchgear and protection systems
Substation operations
Power distribution systems
Renewable energy integration
Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, including NFPA 70E and/or CSA Z462
Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, practical instruction
Experience creating or delivering technical training materials or curriculum
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and digital training platforms
Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an asset
Ability to travel up to 50% for training delivery and program support.
