About this role
Role Overview
- Provide direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a small group residential setting or an individual living arrangement.
- Work together with the people served, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff.
- Foster independence skills or increase each person's quality of life.
- Administrate medication under the Medication Administration Program (MAP).
- Implement treatment plans and assist with activities of daily living.
- Strengthen residents' connection to their community by providing transportation on outings.
Requirements
- Required to work a minimum of 2 direct care shifts per month.
- One to three months experience in a human services setting.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must present a valid driver’s license at the time of employment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must maintain a safe driving record.
Benefits
- Current Bonus Program: Beginning January 1, 2026, through June 2026 Employees are eligible for one of the following bonuses based on the number of hours worked. The maximum bonus to be paid in a month is $150.
- $100 bonus for staff working their first 24 direct care shift hours in a month.
- $150 bonus for staff working their first 32 direct care shift hours in a month.
- This program does not apply to training hours completed.
