Role Overview
- Lead the end-to-end credit risk assessment (underwriting) for the German mortgage portfolio
- Responsible for the acceptance strategy, decisioning framework, and risk performance
- Define policies for credit risk acceptance
- Design mortgage underwriting processes
- Collaborate with product management
- Oversee the definition, tracking, and reporting of risk KPIs
- Support the definition of acceptance policies and risk processes
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in retail credit risk management
- Proven track record in leading underwriting teams
- Solid understanding of the mortgage loan lifecycle
- Deep knowledge of the German mortgage market
- Strong familiarity with European and German regulatory frameworks
- Experience with underwriting models and risk parameters
- Fluent English (high level)
- Fluent German (high level)
