Role Overview
- Design, develop, and maintain applications on IBM iSeries (AS/400) using RPG IV (RPGLE)
- Develop and support programs using CLLE / CLP and COBOL/400
- Work with DB2/400 for data processing, queries, and database management
- Handle batch processing, including batch extracts, loads, and job scheduling
- Debug and troubleshoot batch jobs and production issues
- Analyze existing programs and implement enhancements or fixes as required
- Collaborate with business users and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Ensure system stability, performance, and data integrity
- Support application maintenance, incident resolution, and change requests
- Document technical designs, processes, and changes
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) development
- Expertise in RPG IV (RPGLE) (Primary Skill)
- Working knowledge of COBOL/400 (Secondary Skill)
- Experience with CLLE / CLP programming
- Proficiency in DB2/400
- Experience in batch processing, job control, and debugging batch jobs
- Strong understanding of legacy system architecture and application support
- Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
