Analyst I – EPIC EHR Application, Physician Billing Services

Role Overview

• Responsible for configuring, documenting, testing, modifying and maintaining software applications
• Builds collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, clinical department users, IS and other corporate departments to facilitate usage and acceptance of the system
• Provides guidance and support to end-users to enhance the use of the Epic system
• Provides solutions or resolves end-user system issues
• Assists in designing, verifying, documenting, amending and refactoring moderately complex software configurations for deployment
• Applies agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result
• Collaborates in reviews of work with others as appropriate
• Assists in the investigation and resolution of issues relating to applications
• Follows agreed procedures to identify and resolve issues with applications
• Uses application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics
• Carries out agreed applications maintenance tasks
• Assists with the design of test cases and test scripts, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting test outcomes
• Applies agreed standards to specify and perform manual and automated testing
• Assists in the evaluation of design options and prototypes to obtain user feedback on requirements of developing systems, products, services or devices
• Checks systems, products, services or devices for adherence to applicable standards, guidelines, style guides, and legislation
• Provides first line investigation and gathers information to enable incident resolution and allocate incidents
• May be part of an after-hours on-call rotation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
