Responsible for the testing campaign from requirement definition to data analysis and reporting
Definition of the testing requirement (technical and timing) with the Subject Matter Expert
Supervision of the testing facility set up, to ensure Rig and Unit Under Test fulfil requirement (BoM creation)
On site support at customer or other facilities as appropriate to monitor and ensure good delivery of the testing campaign
Timely data processing and data analysis that will be used to make engineering decisions
Daily summary updates on project and testing status to all project stakeholders
Responsibility to ensure any issues have been formally logged on and assigned
Technical direction to test facilities & other stakeholders
Support internal AVL presentations and participate in trainings and knowledge exchange
Requirements
Minimum of 2:1 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering area (Mechanical, Automotive, etc)
Experience in powertrain development or testing
Electric Drive Unit and battery experience/knowledge
Excellent analytical skills with ability to summarise and make clear technical recommendations across multifunctional disciplines with supporting data
Self-starter with the ability to work with high level instruction, minimal detail breakdown and to be able to seek out relevant information, data and support from other engineering groups
Ability to communicate technical information effectively, both written and verbal, with AVL and customer team members
Flexible and adaptable to move onto other commodities (e.g. battery/charging/inverter)
