The Facility Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining the facility’s infrastructure and systems to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable operations.
Overseeing building systems, coordinating maintenance activities, managing facility projects, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for all facility systems.
Plan, coordinate, and manage facility improvement projects, including renovations, upgrades, and repairs.
Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of facility systems.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs and potential improvements.
Ensure that all facility operations comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
Monitor and manage energy consumption to promote sustainability and reduce costs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, facility inspections, and equipment performance.
Work closely with facility staff, management, and other departments to address facility needs and support operational goals.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in facility management, building systems maintenance, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills: Certification in facility management (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP)).
Experience with energy management and sustainability practices.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the industry or facility type.
Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is a plus.
