Implement DevOps-aligned data management principles to support enterprise data dissemination
Establish and maintain quality controls, metadata standards, and data validation processes
Develop and manage governance policies, standards, and procedural documentation
Coordinate with engineering, security, and DataOps teams to embed governance requirements into data pipelines
Ensure compliance with data governance and sharing policies across systems
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data governance initiatives
Facilitate training programs for data stewards and stakeholders on governance principles
Conduct root cause analysis for data-related issues and implement preventive measures
Proactively communicate with stakeholders regarding data governance updates and initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and accessibility
Develop and maintain documentation for data governance processes and standards
Support customer inquiries related to data governance and compliance
Identify opportunities for process improvements in data governance practices
Ensure adherence to applicable regulations related to data privacy and security

Active Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and 8 + years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field and 6+ years of relevant experience
Minimum of 8 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with data catalog, metadata management, lineage, and data quality tools
Experience designing and enforcing data access control and stewardship processes
Experience integrating governance processes into cloud-native data platforms
Experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks in Federal or enterprise-scale environments
