Lead technically a multidiscipline project team of engineers specializing in power systems, power conversion, automation, control, and mechanical integration to ensure service solutions meet customer, contract, quality, and regulatory requirements
Provide technical leadership, advice, and assistance to the overall service team, including Commissioning, Service, and third parties
Support the Service Engineering Manager as required
Plan and progress all service-related activities, including testing, commissioning, and upgrades for specific projects
Monitor, control, and manage service engineering project budgets, project documentation, risk management processes, design reviews, and quality & change control systems in accordance with company guidelines
Support improvement initiatives and ‘cost out’ plans in collaboration with teams from other business units
Requirements
Experience in an engineering leadership environment, particularly in service roles
Experience in application engineering in one or more fields, such as power engineering, electrical drive systems, grid-connected systems, and automation
Experience in specifying components such as drives, motors, transformers, and switchboards
Experience in design and system integration working on complex multi-disciplinary projects
Experience in any field of power generation, conversion, transmission, and distribution, with a focus on service and upgrades
Expertise in LV and MV variable speed drives and motors
Proven ability to lead large multi-disciplinary project teams and manage service operations efficiently
Ability to multitask on various tasks within strict time scales
Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
Customer-centric mindset, with experience in translating customer issues/needs into effective service solutions
