Senior Tax Accounting Specialist

Role Overview

• Provide bookkeeping support services to tax clients with minimal supervision
• Apply judgement, prioritize work, work with clients independently
• Take on more complex bookkeeping tasks and deliverables
• Manage time and priorities to meet deadlines in varied industries
• Provide best in-class basic accounting and financial reporting support services
• Prepare client statements and reports for review
• Proactively communicate status of work and seek clarity when needed
• Meet client service expectations through quality and timely deliverables
• Execute on defined processes and procedures and share ideas for improvements
• Maintain and expand knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Stay current with updates on applicable technology platforms

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. Bachelor’s preferred
• 2-4+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or tax-related client service experience
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while overseeing multiple client engagements simultaneously
• Reviewing work, or providing guidance to junior team members
• Strong client-service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and intellectual curiosity
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Enjoys interacting with clients and delivering exceptional service with a consultative approach.
