Senior Product Sales Manager – Vacuum Washers

Role Overview

• Set-up and maintain a systemized method for the execution of engineering proposals and reference databases
• Must be self-driven, able to work independently following the manager’s directives
• Maintains an inquiry tracking database and a log of active and completed proposals
• Monitors the quotes, hit rate, and keeps up to date hot prospect listing
• Equipment trouble shooting on process aspect with equipment process audit and recommendations
• Reviews of contract language to assure compliance with company guidelines
• Check all proposal work for accuracy and completeness prior to release for account manager/MSM and/or customer
• Support MSM with technical need information and customer meetings in NA and around the globe
• Support customer on equipment trouble shooting
• Verifies and updates cost basis for quotations and recommends design modifications or alternative sourcing to reduce cost
• Assist the sales department in the gathering of field data and/or the presentation of the product to customers
• Establish offer price consistent with market conditions and business plan requirements
• Contributes to the design and implementation of promotion/training programs
• Creates a work environment in which innovation, entrepreneurship, and personal improvement are encouraged and supported
• Responsible for product development as per global market needs and wants
• Will work closely with Engineering for problem resolution and proposal development
• Assists the Senior Manager with forecasting
• Participates in Strategic Planning and the on-going auditing of this process
• Contribute to periodic meetings with peers
• Recommend product or process improvements
• Monitors programs and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction
• Assists in the resolutions of customer complaints and disputes by implementing corrective and preventive action as needed
• Assists and recommends processes and improvements with respect to archiving our historical data for any current and future research needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College in Mechanical and/or equivalent experience in engineering
• A “customer first” mind set
• Understanding of pulp mill operation as it relates to the Vacuum Washer product line
• Strong organizational skills related to product standardization and the setup/maintenance of workflow operating systems
• Capability to handle multiple and changing priorities
• Strong inter-personal skills in dealing with internal and external customers
• Excellent technical verbal and written skills required
• Demonstrated computer skills, and ability to read mechanical, hydraulic and loop control drawings
