Develop design concepts, narratives, 3D renderings, virtual reality presentations, etc. as needed to effectively convey design intent to clients.
Lead design-focused visioning sessions and presentations to clients, community groups, etc.
Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, lighting designers, engineers, and other consultant team members to facilitate the successful integration of their design efforts with ours.
Collaborate, motivate, and communicate clearly and effectively with other team members.
Foster team building and mentor less-experienced colleagues.
Develop schematic design drawings for our various types of housing projects.
Create technical detail sketches and recommend material selections for inclusion in construction drawings and specifications.
Manage and develop construction documents with limited oversight.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s in Interior Design from an accredited university required
Actively pursuing or has achieved NCIDQ accreditation and licensure
10-15 years of experience in the Interior Design field
Effective communication skills
Extensive design portfolio, with Senior Living, Multi-family, Hospitality, or Affordable Housing experience.
Creative and innovative thinker
Excellent knowledge and practice in design software, including but not limited to SketchUp and Revit, particularly with documentation.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Enscape software programs encouraged.
Understands transition between conceptual development and practical detailing.
Strong design leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise others
Sets an example for team members through the spirit of cooperation.
