Role Overview
Apply comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management
Provide project management oversight of efforts, tasks, studies, and engineering recommendations of the prime contractor to meet contractual requirements
Apply knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs
Ability to work in a test environment and deploy modernization efforts to multiple sites/sides/strings
Support activities that assist the Branch Chief in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines
Recommend viable solutions to problems and the pursuit of alternative courses of action
Effectively communicate verbally, in written communications, and in briefings to senior leadership
Provide quality acquisition and program documentation
Ability to coordinate staff packages, including, but not limited to, public affairs products.
Manage reviews, updates, and recommended changes to the prime contractors' Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Management Schedule (IMS).
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical discipline, including five (5) years of DoD experience; OR, Master’s in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical discipline, including five (5) years of DoD experience
Possesses advanced knowledge and experience in Air Force or Space Force acquisitions
Knowledge of DoD contracting processes and policies, and Sentinel/GSA Contracts/TDLs
Possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline
Ability to manage multiple Prime contractors, multiple Contracts/TDLs at multiple locations/sites
Experience working on multiple codependent projects simultaneously
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline, as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in their area of expertise.
