Set up, manage, and optimize Maqsam's Points of Presence (PoPs) and carrier interconnections across the region to ensure high availability and performance
Provision and configure telecom resources including DID numbers, call routing, and coordinate Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC) setups for clients
Monitor network performance and carrier interconnections, troubleshoot issues such as latency, packet loss, and service disruptions
Ensure compliance with local telecom regulations and implement security measures to prevent unauthorized access and fraud
Coordinate technical onboarding of new carriers and 3rd party providers, including validation, integration testing, and production deployment
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for infrastructure setups, interconnection protocols, and troubleshooting procedures
Provide reporting and tracing activities for network operations and act as technical liaison between Maqsam and carrier partners
Act as Level 3 technical support for connectivity and carriers related matters faced by our clients

3+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in telecom or carrier environments
Strong understanding and experience of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP), TCP/IP, and carrier interconnections
Strong experience working in Unix-based environments (Linux and FreeBSD)
Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools (Git, version control workflows)
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation tasks
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible.
Knowledge of network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies
Understanding of telecom compliance requirements and security best practices
Strong documentation skills and ability to create clear technical guides
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts
Collaborative attitude and strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams
