Design, build, administer, and support SQL database environments across customer-managed platforms
Ensure database performance, availability, reliability, and security in production environments
Monitor, diagnose, and resolve database performance and stability issues
Perform backup, restore, HA/DR, and disaster recovery planning and execution
Optimize existing environments and contribute to standardization through documentation and SOPs
Engage directly with customers through incident response, change requests, meetings, and status updates
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience
3–5 years of experience supporting SQL database environments (managed services experience preferred)
Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (on-prem and/or cloud-based)
Strong knowledge of: Backup and restore strategies, High availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR), Performance tuning and optimization
Experience supporting large or complex database environments
Exposure to at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
One or more database-related certifications, such as: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Database – Specialty, GCP Cloud Database Engineer (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)
ITIL v3+ (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
