Role Overview
- Data Products: Design and implement scalable data models (Silver/Gold layers), treating datasets as internal products with a focus on high usability
- Engineering: Develop robust pipelines using software engineering best practices (versioning, modularization, and CI/CD).
- Governance: Establish and monitor quality standards, lineage, and data cataloging, acting as the guardian of the "single source of truth".
- Democratization: Advance the Self-Service Analytics ecosystem by creating semantic layers that reduce business teams' technical dependency.
- Discovery: Operate at the intersection of Data Engineering and Business, translating complex questions into solid, viable data architectures.
- Evangelization: Promote a Data-Driven culture and Data Literacy, enabling colleagues to efficiently use information and apply analysis best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, or related fields.
- Proven experience with data modeling and engineering for analytical consumption.
- Experience in Self-Service BI projects, data integration, and Data Mesh.
- Experience collaborating with data teams and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SQL and data transformation tools (dbt, PySpark, Delta Lake).
- Visualization tools: Power BI and Metabase.
- Experience with Databricks or similar platforms.
- Strong delivery orientation and attention to detail.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration and active listening to understand and translate business requirements.
- Autonomy and proactivity to propose improvements and solutions.
- Product mindset and interest in business impact.
