Lead the technical delivery of teams operating at business scale through product and technology deliveries
Be responsible for architecture reviews, ensuring technical initiatives are prioritized and collaborating on the design of new and existing solutions
Evolve and optimize the development lifecycle (SDLC)
Promote and implement best practices for a cohesive, low-coupling distributed systems ecosystem
Promote and implement best practices for an event-driven architecture ecosystem
Be responsible, together with the Group Product Manager or Product Manager, for defining, planning, and tracking objectives and initiatives for the current quarter
Be responsible for continuously improving the team’s work efficiency using DORA and engineering metrics
Be accountable for the quality, security, operability, and observability of developed solutions — not limited to development tasks only — software engineering
Collaborate with other engineering teams to identify root causes and fix production issues
Understand, share, and document processes and flows, contributing to knowledge decentralization
Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work culture
Contribute to people development within the team by disseminating engineering and technology best practices
Requirements
Strong communication skills
Experience as an Engineering Manager
Experience with agile practices and delivery management
Ability to use data and metrics to align the team and company
Experience managing multidisciplinary software development teams, acting as a “leader of leaders” for squads
Relevant experience in planning, developing, and delivering scalable software solutions
Understanding of solution architecture to ensure output and high technical capability of solutions and the team
Experience with automation practices and defining software quality strategies (highly desirable)
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (highly desirable)
Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Datadog, Google Cloud Logging) (highly desirable)
Experience in dynamic, digital environments — especially startups (highly desirable)
