Requirements
2-year diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Broadcasting, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in journalism, communications, content production, multimedia content production, including news or corporate storytelling
Demonstrated experience in applying a journalistic approach to photography, digital, filming, video and audio production, and editing
Skills in news and editorial story development, writing, editing, research, interviewing, and script development, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences across multiple platforms
Experience producing corporate or executive-level communications in a complex or regulated environment, including executive messaging and enterprise storytelling
Experience advising clients and working directly with senior leaders and subject matter experts to translate strategic priorities into clear, audience-focused communications, using strong editorial judgment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
Knowledge of privacy regulations (ATIA, POPA) and institutional brand standards related to digital communications.
Experience using photo and video gathering equipment is required, such as ENG videography gear.
Experience shooting vertical video is required.
Experience using digital content tools such as Adobe Express or Premiere Pro is required; familiarity with in-phone editing tools such as Splice or CapCut is an asset.
Experience with video captioning and publishing tools is an asset
Experience creating digital content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and TikTok.
French language proficiency is an asset
Must possess a valid Alberta Class 5 (non-GDL) driver’s license.
