About this role
Role Overview
- Assess, design, and implement CDI programs at inpatient facilities
- Partner with physicians, HIM teams, and clinical staff to drive documentation accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with our internal revenue cycle team to identify opportunities for DRG optimization, reduce under-coding, and maximize appropriate inpatient reimbursement
- Work directly with our engineering team to translate CDI and DRG workflow expertise into product requirements, test features, and shape the roadmap of our proprietary CDI tool
- Travel to community hospitals and healthcare organizations to offer clients hands-on support
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3 years of CDI experience in an inpatient acute care setting
- CCDS, CDIP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of MS-DRG and APR-DRG methodology
- Experience presenting to and educating physician and clinical audiences
- Ability to translate clinical domain expertise into practical product feedback
- Prior consulting or multi-facility experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytics/data science skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Take initiative to complete tasks rapidly and accurately
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel to client sites (10-15%)
