Role Overview
- Deliver technically complex solutions
- Perform system integration support for project work
- Consult with business product owners for design solutions
- Design and develop mainframe banking applications using COBOL, JCL, and CICS
- Perform unit testing and support functional testing
- Develop high-quality, secure, and efficient code
- Participate in software design reviews
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and QA teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
- In-depth knowledge in information systems
- Ability to identify and implement best practices
- Understanding of key business processes related to IT
- Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems
- Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates
