Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, customer contracts, MSAs, interoperability agreements, software licenses, nondisclosure agreements, vendor agreements, and employment contracts.
Partner and support the General Counsel on advising executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on the legal risk, strategy, compliance, and solutions-oriented guidance.
Support privacy, data security, artificial intelligence, and regulatory compliance efforts, including matters involving data protection, confidentiality, and information security.
Contribute to the development and improvement of legal templates, playbooks, and internal training to support scale and efficiency.
Advise on employment and HR-related legal matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, internal investigations, disciplinary actions, terminations, and compliance with labor laws.
Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may impact company operations and advise on necessary adjustments.
Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to contract management, regulatory compliance, and employment law, providing day-to-day legal advice to various internal stakeholders.
Manage outside counsel for litigation, arbitration, or government inquiries.
Handle special projects and other legal matters as assigned by the General Counsel.
Be a key member of the legal team willing to step in and contribute where necessary to accomplish tasks and solve problems.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to and good standing with the Texas state bar.
Minimum of 7 years of experience as an attorney with a corporate legal department or law firm preferred.
Strong foundation in contract law, corporate governance, and related areas of law relevant to a growing technology-driven business.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong legal research and analytical skills.
Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively within a team to achieve results.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and deliver under tight deadlines and be energized by the opportunity to solve problems.
Experience with contract management software is a plus.
Candidate must reside in Dallas or within a commutable distance from our Dallas office, as this is not a remote role.
