Manage and facilitate the preparation and review of various tax filings, such as consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and financial statement disclosures.
Prepare and review income tax provisions under ASC 740, including current and deferred tax calculations, for SEC reporting engagements.
Coordinate with the client's internal functional teams and other external service providers to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance processes.
Act as a strategic advisor to the client's tax department, identifying tax-saving opportunities and providing guidance on the tax implications of business decisions.
Manage, train, and mentor junior tax staff on client engagements, providing constructive feedback and fostering a positive team environment.
Plan, set deadlines, and monitor the completion of tax projects, ensuring deliverables meet quality control standards and are delivered on time and on budget.
Understand the client's internal tax processes and help co-develop improvements to enhance efficiency.
Build and retain strong relationships with multiple clients, ensuring satisfaction and recognizing opportunities to expand service offerings.
Research and analyze complex corporate tax issues, drafting clear memoranda that support compliance, planning, and advisory recommendations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
6 years of experience in public accounting or related field
3 years supervisory experience
Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
