Serve as the global owner and central point of control for global billing operations, defining and enforcing standards, governance frameworks, internal controls, and scalable workflows across intake, validation, approval, and execution.
Review and approve standard and non-standard deal structures, contract terms, and complex billing scenarios to ensure operational viability and compliance.
Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and billing risks by monitoring performance metrics, error trends, and escalations; drive root cause resolution, standardization, and reduction of manual workarounds.
Act as the escalation point for complex billing issues, ensuring timely resolution and preventing recurrence through process and system improvements.
Translate complex business requirements, deal structures, and operational needs into structured, system-enabled solutions in partnership with IT, Engineering, and system owners.
Lead cross-functional initiatives and program launches, partnering with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and Customer Success to align deal structures with billing capabilities.
Develop and maintain SOPs, documentation, and process standards, and provide training and guidance to ensure process clarity, consistency, and audit readiness.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
7+ years of experience in billing operations, finance operations, deal desk, revenue operations , or related functions in a SaaS or subscription-based environment with high transaction volume and complexity.
Project management or process improvement certifications preferred (PMP, Lean, Six Sigma).
Demonstrated expertise in process design, re-engineering, and operational scaling.
Proven experience leading cross-functional projects or programs from concept through execution including both operational and system-based initiatives.
Experience working with billing, CRM, or ERP systems (Zuora, NetSuite, Salesforce, etc.).
Experience translating business requirements into operational processes or system solutions and delivery of measurable operational efficiencies.
Strong decision-making capability with ability to operate in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to challenge and influence.
Experience in Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) environments within SaaS organizations.
Proficiency with data tools (SQL, Snowflake, BI platforms).
