Accounting Associate, Part-time Contract

Role Overview

• Perform finance operations transactions (e.g. AP, AR, debt collection, cash allocation,expenses)
• Operational reporting & communication e.g. aged debt and supplier accounts
• Banking activities e.g. setting up payments for approval
• Maintain and implement operational finance systems, processes and record keeping
• Maintain strong controls to prevent/detect fraud or misstatement
• Actively contribute to an effective and engaged team, clear on its purpose and contribution by ensuring you know what is expected of you, through regular 1:1’s, having clear objectives in place, and participating in open and honest performance and development conversations
• Ensuring a respectful and inclusive workplace, where team members communicate openly, share knowledge so it can be used, and respect difference
• Living the CDP Values and demonstrating the behaviours appropriate to your position.

Requirements

• Experience of Operational Finance
• Knowledge of accounting principles and processes
• Accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Balances a can-do attitude, and inclination towards problem solving, with a strong understanding of financial controls and risk
• Excellent time management skills, and ability to manage own workload
• Can communicate clearly and logically
• Personal qualities of integrity and commitment to our mission.
