About this role
Role Overview
Design, deploy, and manage DLP solutions across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments to detect and prevent potential data breaches.
Monitor and analyze DLP events, conducting research to determine the root cause and scope of exposure.
Develop and update DLP policies, rules, and procedures based on evolving business requirements, threat landscapes, and compliance obligations.
Collaborate with Security, Legal, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to data protection laws and industry standards.
Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
Provide training and guidance to employees on best practices for data handling and the importance of data loss prevention.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a directly related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
Six to eight years of professional IT experience.
Experience in security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols.
Requires excellent analytical ability, consultative and communication skills, and strong judgement.
Proven experience with data loss prevention platforms (e.g., Proofpoint, Symantec DLP, Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Zscaler).
Strong understanding of data classification.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are preferred.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks.
