Assist in preparation and review of various documents on a wide range of topics related to health care law such as: HIPAA, regulatory compliance, Medicaid and Medicare issues, privacy rights and filings related to regulatory requirements
Participate in research projects on issues impacting CareSource and the health insurance and managed care industry
Draft, review and edit a variety of legal documents
Assist in process improvement identification and solutions
Attend meetings and work closely with members of both the legal and business teams
Work on assignments geared towards issue-spotting and problem-solving
Perform any other job-related functions as requested
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is required
Currently enrolled in a graduate Juris Doctor law program at an ABA accredited law school
Must have successfully completed 1 year of law school by commencement of internship
Must possess a minimum law school GPA of 3.0
Interest in healthcare and insurance law is preferred
