About this role

Providing crucial support to operational teams at EUMETSAT in validation, maintenance and operations of operations preparation systems
Collaborate closely with Mission Operations Teams and support Ground Segment engineering activities.
Prototype and develop web applications to interface with operations preparation tools
Maintain and evolve application lifecycle and management of operations preparation tools and their associated infrastructure
Provide engineering and user support expertise to end-users related to the usage of the developed applications

Proven experience in developing modern web applications across both backend and frontend
Good knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, Bash
Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or Angular
Experience with building and integrating RESTful APIs
Knowledge of DevOps practices, including automation, containerization and CI/CD
Solid understanding of testing methodologies
Excellent communication skills
A proactive, curious mindset with openness to exploring new tools and approaches
Prior knowledge of operations preparation systems is a plus
