Ensure proper, timely preparation of annual individual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
Ensure regulatory compliance with tax law, reporting obligations and statutory requirements
Manage operational and strategic financial planning, including budgeting processes, forecasts and multi-year planning
Overall leadership of the Finance organization in Germany, with multiple team leads across Accounting, Business Controlling, Liquidity Management/Treasury and Tax
Act as a sparring partner to executive management on investment decisions, profitability analyses and commercial matters
Represent the company to auditors, financial institutions and relevant authorities
Close coordination with Group Finance and Internal Audit to ensure consistent reporting and control standards
Responsible for financial valuations in the context of acquisitions and support integration of newly acquired entities
Operational involvement in key areas such as profit management, working capital management and management of financial liabilities
Further development of system landscape, governance structures and internal control mechanisms
Build and develop high-performing leadership teams including structured succession planning
Shape a performance-oriented and collaborative leadership culture
Requirements
University degree with a focus on finance, accounting or equivalent; additional qualifications welcome
Many years of professional experience in finance with several years of overall responsibility for larger units in Germany
Deep expertise in accounting under German GAAP (HGB); IFRS knowledge is an advantage
Solid knowledge of German tax and commercial law
Demonstrable experience in leading complex organizations and in transformation or optimization projects
Strategic competence and ability to position Finance as a business enabler
Excellent German and English language skills (minimum C1 level each)
Confident use of ERP systems
Strong communication skills and ability to connect different stakeholder levels
Industry experience in capital-intensive or asset-based business models is a plus
Pragmatism, decisiveness and a clear leadership style
