About this role
Role Overview
Provide direct oversight and leadership to field Construction Managers
Conduct routine site visits and field audits to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met
Review weekly production reports, and look-ahead schedules
Identify and address execution gaps in real time
Enforce standardized construction processes and installation best practices
Ensure consistent documentation across all projects (daily/weekly reports, QA/QC checklists, photo documentation)
Conduct quality audits on rooftop penetrations, flashing, racking, and electrical installations
Ensure compliance with NEC requirements, fire setbacks, and roof warranty standards
Drive corrective action plans to reduce rework and warranty claims
Hold Construction Managers accountable to project schedules
Review and validate 2–4 week look-ahead plans
Proactively identify risks and implement recovery plans
Escalate issues early to avoid client or financial impacts
Partner closely with Project Managers and Project Management Leads to align field execution with contract scope and budget
Support accurate forecasting through real-time field reporting
Assist with change order identification and documentation
Maintain a “no surprises” communication culture across teams
Champion strong safety culture across all job sites
Ensure OSHA compliance and fall protection standards are consistently enforced
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
Requirements
7+ years of construction experience, with 3+ years in commercial rooftop solar
Experience managing Construction Managers /Superintendents
Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, metal)
Expertise in ballasted and attached racking systems
Understanding of commercial electrical tie-ins, NEC solar requirements, and rapid shutdown compliance
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
OSHA 30 certification required
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft based programs
Willingness to travel to active project sites as needed
